Note Regarding Teacher Pay for Performance

How would administrators determine which teachers perform best?

If proof of performance is based on students' test scores, then we have the measurable data to prove that some teachers perform better than others; otherwise, the teachers who are well-liked by administrators will be the ones who get the extra pay for performance.

I don't want a curriculum that is merely test driven rather than creative, nor would it please me to know the popular teachers are the ones who get the extra pay. My recommendation is that we raise teacher pay across the board; however, years of teaching and degree levels must continue to be the basis for salary.
